Kierion

Vayenas, a leftist journalist, is unfairly accused of the murder of an American reporter. This is the reason why he starts to investigate by himself and discovers the real assassins. The attempt to unmask them is very difficult. The film is inspired by the killing of an American journalist, George Polk, by a paramilitary extremist.
The journalist had come to Greece to interview the Democratic Army's leader. Tornes collaborates from the very beginning in 1966 and during the shooting of the film in 1967.
This film was written by director Kòstas Sfìkas, who is one of the actors together with Tornes and others from the new Greek cinema with a future international stardom (Theo Angelopoulos, Pantelis Voulgaris, Tonia Marketaki).
