Totò is a hardened ex terrorist who is forced to look into garbage to live. Once he used to rob banks to fund terrorism, today he recycles food from trash trucks. In the Arabic night in Lyon, for the first time, Totò tells his incredible story.

"I approached Totò with the least possible journalistic eye, avoiding inquiries, pity or judgements. The hoarse tale of his life goes along its own way, all in one night, until dawn, which smells of rotten fish and out-of-date chicken legs. He has never been a boss nor an ideologist. He has never been a murderer nor an intellectual. And this is how his marginal path, from Sicilian hooligan in working Turin to member of anarchic-communist terrorism in the Seventies, to ragged exiled in the Arabic night of Lyon today, it's very difficult for him to find a place in the post-terrorism galaxy. He is not very nice, he swears and does a job that stinks. But, looking through the pieces and the leftovers of the Iron Years, the story of Totò can be very moving" (G. Votano).
