The daily work of two collaborators of
the Reconstitution team, a part of the Gauckbehörde (the Gauck administration in
Berlin), which reconstructs the Stasi documents that were ripped up after the
fall of the Berlin wall and hidden in various large bags. Until now over 17,000
have been found. Each employee recomposes roughly ten sheets of paper a day, and
at the moment the documentation of roughly two hundred bags is once more
available.
