Pak Atan and Mak Inom are a sixty-year-old retired couple; they are tired of living in the city and jump at the chance to go back and live in the country after Pak Atan inherits his father's house. Things seem to go well for the eccentric and serene couple - fresh air, lush greenery, nice neighbors - until things start to take an unexpected turn. Pat Akan and Mak Inom are forced to rethink their ideas about the country and the city.

"One could think that I shot Rabun in a boring way, without moving the camera and using a theatrical perspective. The reason is that since it was my first time directing, I was curious to see if the emotion of a scene could be effective without using close-ups, shots or reverse shots and rapid editing cuts" (Y. Ahmad).
