This short movie, shot in Zenzalino (Ferrara), immersed in the foggy
Padana Plain, where Varenne, the most important trotter, was born and
lives, is a there and back equation: two continuous movements from the
left to right (about a couple of minutes) and the way back (about a
couple of minutes) and a perpendicular to the movements about four
minutes long. The landscape outside in the air, has already lost what it
was to foretell: it turns out to be its own ghost.

Elisabetta Sgarbi
(Ferrara, Italy) is the creator and director of the publishing house La nave di Teseo. She created and for nineteen years has been the artistic director of the festival La Milanesiana, dedicated to literature, music, cinema, science, art, philosophy, and theatre. Since 1999 she has been the director and producer of her films, which were often presented at the Torino Film Festival.
