During a party in Paris, Boris, an apprentice director, meets a young
woman, Marilyne. The two pretend to be lovers and end up falling in love
for real. Five years later, Marilyne, accompanied by Boris and their two
children, go to Ibiza on a business trip. While Boris, who is tired of
their relationship, thinks of leaving Marilyne, she has an affair. Five
more years pass by and Marilyne reappears up in the Pyrenees as the head
of a group of American women on a "personal growth" trip. She runs into
Boris but, just like the two had pretended to be lovers ten years
earlier, this time they pretend they are two strangers.
