Short and trifling moments on his last sets. Journeys to the "pictorial
locations" (Giotto in the Scrovegni Chapel, Piero della Francesca in Arezzo) he
had filmed or visited only in black and white photographs over sixty years ago.
Snippets of high and almost unexpected wisdom, as with closed eyes he looks at
and remembers images of the "present" that are already past, from the G8 meeting
in Genoa to the vanishing Twin Towers in Manhattan on September 11.
