The label I dischi del sole represents one of the most important experiences in
the research, documentation and diffusion of Italian music and culture. The bond
between the ones who realized this project and the social, political and
historic context of '65-'75, has engraved this label in the independent Italian
culture, against the "public" validation which is far below the real cultural
achievements of this experience.
"Records have the leading role in our film and are narrated by videos matching
images to events told in today's songs and their political and human
contradictions. We have chosen to point out the songs and not the characters,
because each of them deserves a deeper attention beyond the length of a
documentary: ours is one of the possible itineraries through stories, a partial
point of view, but, hopefully, interesting and charming." (L. Pastore)
