Christoph Girardet and Matthias Müller's Mirror explores the nature of the space and pause that occur before or after a crucial moment in a movie. With its highly disguised split-screen effect, Mirror creates an uncanny sense of distance between characters with its complex image construction.

Christoph Girardet

Christoph Girardet (Langenhagen, Germany, 1966) studied fine arts at the Braunschweig School of Art. He started producing video installations in 1989 and started his collaboration with Matthias Müller in 1999. Solo exhibitions of his work have taken place at institutions such as the Sigmund Freud Museum in Vienna and the Sean Kelly Gallery in New York. He now lives and works in Hannover.
