Sharia, a young student of Persian origin, is leaving Montreal for Los Angeles, where his girlfriend and college life await him. With his Canadian passport and the required student paperwork in hand, the young man starts the procedure for immigrating to the United States, but what should have been a simple bureaucratic formality takes an unexpected turn.

Fayeque M. Rahman

Fayeque M. Rahman, a Canadian citizen, was born in South Africa to parents of Indian origin. He grew up in Europe and moved to Canada to work at McGill University. He then moved to Asia, where he was involved in various television productions. He now lives and works in California.
