Mandy, a beautiful career woman, accepts the marriage proposal of the rich magnate Steve, a rich man who offers her as a dowry his family's priceless treasure. But on the wedding day, a mysterious gang bursts in on the celebration and steals the dowry. Mandy suspects that her former husband, Alex, is behind the theft. After many years of separation, she contacts the man and decides to use every means to get him to confess. But Alex, who swears he's innocent, takes advantage of the opportunity to win Mandy back. What follows is a twisted game of cat-and-mouse, seduction and jealousy.

Johnnie To

Johnnie To (Hong Kong, 1955), began working in 1972 at the television network TVB, where he became director, screenwriter and television producer. In 1980 he directed his first film, The Enigmatic Case, but the poor box office returns convinced him to return to television, where he remained until 1986, the year he directed the film Happy Ghost 3. He achieved commercial success with films like All About Ah Long (1989) and The Heroic Trio (1992) During the 1990’s, To founded the production house Milkyway Image, which made a name for itself with its gangster movies. in 2004 he presented at Torino Film Festival Breaking News and Yesterday Once More.
