23° TORINO FILM FESTIVAL

Colpevole fino a prova contraria

Country: Italy
Year: 2005
Duration: 11'

A police commissioner grappling with the case of a lifetime and ready to do anything in order to solve it. A self-styled interpreter in search of his first job. An immigrant at the wrong place at the wrong time. And the shadow of international terrorism hovering above them all.

"Guilty Until Proven Innocent isn't an accusation nor is it a criticism of the Italian police. Rather, it is a criticism of the global method used in the fight against terrorism, a sort of trawling which, unfortunately, sometimes also results in injustice." (H. Krissane)
