Can you tell if yours is a colour or black and white dream? If yours is a silent or sound dream? If ther’s a voice off or actual sound?

“Each time I have gone to Turin for the Festival I have made a film. This time, I was staying in the same hotel as last year and yet I was annoyed because I hadn’t been given the same room. [...] I couldn’t see anything in that narrow space. The memory of the big room obstructed my sight. Then, I finally took possession of the place; I found that there was enough distance to film if I put the camera in the closet behind the curtain. In this way, the movie camera had a field of vision that let me find the right shot. So I started shooting. But only because the angle was right. For no other reason. I walked out of the hotel and went back down via Roma. The year before I had enjoyed filming it but it was too risky to keep the camera on the tripod by myself. It was very late [...] and we were in Via Roma for a long time, without waiting for anything special, with the movie camera running and recording words and images…” (J.-C. Rousseau)
