Duration: 9'

Antonio, a seventeen-year-old boy, is waiting for a call in the middle of the night. His cell phone rings, and he leaves his house: his best friend, who is just a little bit older, is waiting for him in the car. During the car ride, Antonio seems to perhaps remember, or maybe is imagining, committing a murder. They walk around the port of the neighboring town, Torre a Mare, but when Antonio stops and turns his back to his friend, this one shoots him.

"Born as a low-cost social project to get people under eighteen involved in the production of an audiovisual project, All’alba offered them a chance to reflect on their individual identity and on group dynamics. Inspired by a crime in the news that took place around Bari, the kids helped search for ways to escape the typical amateur standards by trying to create effects like suspense, pace and image steadiness that differ from the style of action films about organized crime or the typical use of Bari’s dialect for folkloristic purposes. […] A way to tell about ‘an emblematic case of denied adolescence’ from within, with existential and universal tones.”
