Gigi, a rebel, teaches young comrades the facets of their struggle as they remain to be in waiting after they were ambushed. On a nearby village, Junjun and his fellow soldiers take a rest. He attempts to chance upon a girl, but instead encounters a strange shaman. Somewhere, two kids, Abyan and Busaw, journey the forest back to their mother. All clueless and are about to encounter each other that will bring to light the questions of transcendence. “Shooting a film entirely in Mindanao has been braved by a few. Filmmakers, even those from Mindanao, fear the expense, security and competency that may prohibit one from shooting there. While I cannot deny that these are true, from the start I wanted to show everyone that it is possible. There are many wonderful stories and discourses about Mindanao and it is a waste if these reasons inhibit it from being brought to life. It has been a great struggle for me, my cast, and my crew to prove that stories about Mindanao can be told in Mindanao and by those from Mindanao. If through this film, we can show people that, then our struggle would have been worth it.”
