Over ten years later, the author of the film returns to Zurich, the city where he had gained firsthand experience of heroin addiction and from which he had fled in order to overcome it. A walk through his past, an attempt to bring back to the surface what still remains of his memories, a vital element for better understanding himself. “In order to give strength to my story I had to completely immerse myself in the past and sometimes I ran the risk, and was afraid, of abandoning the present. The dilated times of the images helped me create the right atmosphere. The sounds and noises marked the rhythm. I wanted to show what I feel each time I return to Zurich, a city that, to me, has a unique atmosphere and that lets me find those pauses for reflection which I so often need.”
