AHENDU NDE SAPUKAI

I HEAR YOUR SCREAM

Country: Argentina
Year: 2008
Duration: 12'

At dawn, a man watches the horizon as he stands near his wooden
house that dominates the landscape. After a few moments, he goes
back into his simple dwelling and a short while later a small funeral
procession emerges. But the man doesn’t take part in it and remains
alone, staring into the emptiness before him.

Ahendu nde sapukai is an attempt to let cinema fulfill itself in the
projection room. The spectators are very important and I think they
should participate actively and creatively. We mustn’t take them
on a walk, but rather on a true voyage.”
