In a club in the Irish countryside,
a saxophonist witnesses an explosion
and the murder of his band’s leader.
He does not reveal what he knows to
the police and decides to avenge himself
on the three murderers. The debut of Neil
Jordan (with his “fetish” actor Stephen
Rea) is a dark and everyday thriller
tinged with the IRA. In the collusion
between policemen and the culprits,
the world has no way out.
