Behind their father’s back, Antoine and Quentin, two 18-year-old twins, decide to walk to Spain to attend the funeral of their mother, whom they never really knew. The two brothers are very close and to them, this is a way to remain together. But the difficult conditions of their journey and the encounters they make along the way are destined “I wanted to treat the subject in a visual and poetic way, and I didn’t want Donne-moi la main to be written or shot in a realistic or explanatory way. Pascal-Alex Vincent
Pascal-Alex Vincent (Montargis, France), after studying literature and film history at the University of Paris III, dedicated himself to the distribution of Japanese film classics for the company Alive. In 2000 he shot the short film Les Résultats du bac, which marked the beginning of his collaboration with the production company Local Films. His next short, Far West (2002), which was strongly influenced by Japanese pop culture, received a prize at the Festival of Oberhausen and was shown on the TV channel Arte. In 2004 he filmed Hollywood malgré lui for Canal+ and, in 2005, the experimental short Bébé requin, which participated at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2007 he debuted in animated films with Candy Boy, which was presented at Cannes as part of the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs.
