Paulo looses his job after denouncing an accident at the construction site where he works. His relationship with his wife is getting worse, day by day. Bela, Paulo’s sister, lives with their father that suffers from post-war syndrome. She is a nurse and the only comfort for a terminal patient. Modern families barely surviving the destiny that has entangled them. Some in defiance fight back; others let themselves go and give “Good and evil, black and white, right and wrong. It must be somewhere in the middle of these extremes that we all position ourselves. In the misdemeanours, limitations, imperfections, we keep trying to survive in the middle of all the noise, looking for each others with less and less ability to feel, hear or touch each others. A growing incommunicability, passed on from parents to sons, sharing the responsibility of being who we are, of acting the way we do. It is this legacy of unloved and apathy that contaminates generation after generation.”

Biography

Tiago Guedes
Tiago Guedes (Porto, Portugal, 1971) graduated from the Fernando Pessoa University in Publicity. He attended film directing workshops at the New York Film Academy (1997-1998) and at the Raindance of London (1999). He shot several spots and videoclips and in 2003 he directed O Meu Sòsia e Eu. He co-directed with Frederico Serra the short films O Ralo (1999) and Acordar (2000), the television films Alta Fidelidade (2000), Cavaleiros de Água Doce (2000) and the feature film Bad Blood (2006).

Frederico Serra
Frederico Serra (1964) graduated from the António Arroio School. He attended
film directing workshops at the Raindance of London and ar the Four Corners Film Workshop. He co-directed with Tiago Guedes the short films O Ralo (1999) and Acordar (2000), the television films Alta Fidelidade (2000), Cavaleiros de Água Doce (2000) and the feature film Bad Blood (2006).
