Four metropolitan stories. Franz, who has been fired from the company “The story of Franz is the story of my father. This absurd and atrocious
where he had worked for forty years, sues the company and is rehired.
But the company has decided that no longer needs him. He spends his
days aimlessly, isolated and ignored by his colleagues. Saskia has just
graduated and is learning how to enter the world of work. Gunnar has
been taught that the key to success is to consider his body his
trademark. Stephan, on the other hand, keeps outside of offices: he is
paid to sit inside a billboard and reply to the greetings of the passersby.

He has to sit within a big advertising poster in 25 metres altitude.
The picture of this self-chosen, psychological disturbing loneliness is like

Biography

Eva Stotz
Eva Stotz (Germany, 1979) spent her childhood and youth in Germany. She studied Cinema in Montpellier and in 2001 enrolled in the directors program at the Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie of Berlin. In 2001 she made her first short film, L’Après-midi, followed the next year by the documentary Zwischen den Jahren. To date she has made five short films and five documentaries, shooting in Germany, France, Romania, Poland and Uganda, where she lived for three months in 2005. In 2007 she made a documentary on the Donaulauf, a footrace that follows the Danube
river through eight countries, from its source to its estuary. In 2008 she attended the Berlinale Talent Campus and is now working on a project entitled Xenophobia, Love and Internet.
