TRANSMISSION
When all the screens in the city suddenly stop working, a sense of emptiness floods the homes, where people sit and stare at dark screens. A man kills his wife during a fight and remains alone with his two daughters, who follow him around like shadows, incapable of playing in a world in which no one seems to have a purpose anymore. Some people wonder whether the telecommunications equipment has been destroyed through meditation, convinced that mass hypnosis looms over the country.

“This cityscape provides the film its strange, shattered and transfigured surroundings, but I concentrate more on the main characters and supporting characters, who are directly and indirectly stricken by the lack of screens. How does this strange and frightening occurrence affect the individual? Which technologies are there for survival? Are they capable of comprehending what is happening to them? This is primarily what the film focuses on.”
