CHI L’HA VISTO
Gianni Meurer is young actor just getting his start. Half German, half Italian, he decides to try his wings and travels from Berlin to Rome, where he wants to take part in the TV program Chi l’ha Visto? in hopes of finding his father, whom he hasn’t seen in twenty-five years. The only clues he has are a few letters and photographs, which he shows to everybody he meets during his journey, including Paul, a musician who is just as penniless as he is. But the lies he has been told about his father make it hard for Gianni to find his true roots.

“Fiction and reality, role and drama biography interweave in an inseparable way. Gianni Meurer is also his name in real life. In Germany a popular musical actor, he is – just like in the film – half German and lost contact to his father as a child. Chi l’ha visto makes these concrete biographical aspects the key starting point of a fictional search for traces during which Gianni meets the young German played by Paul Kominek who is internationally famous as a musician under the names ‘Turner’ and ‘Pawel.’” (Jan Kedves)
