A woman who has been a patient at a hospital in Tokyo for a long time goes to Kashihara, in the district of Nara, where she hopes to find her son. But the only clues which can help her in her search are her memories and a couple of photographs in the digital camera her son forgot at the hospital. As she searches for the boy, the woman becomes acquainted with his friends and comes into contact with the beautiful natural surroundings of that region. But her dream of finding her son before her illness takes her life remains unfulfilled.

“This is a story about a mother and may be called her ‘spiritual journey.’ We didn’t set up the scenes in detail, but instead, we let the actress act as she would as a mother of a son, which gives us a sense of reality in every scene, or rather what you will see is the way a

mother would take action by instinct for her beloved child. This project turned out to be a very interesting and new experience for us.”
