small town murder songs Ontario. The body of an unidentified girl is found on the edge of a lake near a Mennonite village. The investigation is conducted by the local police chief, Walter, a man with a difficult past in search of redemption in the eyes of the village’s religious community. But as the investigation continues, Walter relives his old hostility with his parents and his difficult relationship with his ex-fiancée Rita; this prevents him from protecting his new relationship with meek and discreet Sam. “The Small Town Murder Scene album both sparked an idea around building a film around a soundtrack and an interest in exploring the ripples caused by a murder in a small community. The film is ultimately about a man who’s struggling against his own nature and is trying to convince his community that he is a changed man. However, his critical failure stems from the fact that he thinks he can become a different man by changing the external circumstances of his life without acknowledging that a beast still dwells within.”
