Detroit. Four teenagers spend the last night of summer before the beginning of the new school year in search of first kisses, first urges, first loves. The paths of Maggie, Rob, Claudia and Scott cross each other like the suburban streets where they live; that night, their neighborhood turns into a sort of wonderland where everything is possible. Between parties, flirts and oaths of friendship, the four teens experience intense moments that will mark their lives forever.

“We wanted to find real kids that could lend the film charming naturalism that captures the innocence and insecurity of the American teen. We traveled back and forth between Los Angeles and Detroit holding large open auditions. This is how we built up our ensemble. For most of the cast, it’s the first movie they’ve ever been in. It was a lengthy process, but we wanted every role to be perfect and we were relying on mostly inexperienced high school and college kids to carry the film. We believe it paid off.”
