A self-portrait in a landscape which is both natural reality and a spiritual mirror of the artist, a figure in constant pilgrimage through his own states of consciousness. The fixed video camera captures him lying down in the dark of the night, sheltered by a boulder. In the background, the sound of running water accompanies the immobility of sleep, creating an allegory of universal time which contrasts with human time. The majesty of the boulder recalls an existence that goes back through the eons, while the ceaseless flowing of the water narrates the cycles of nature and the continuous rebirth of life.
