Thirty-year-old Eric is famous in his circle of friends for the exclusive summer parties he throws at his father’s luxurious beach house. When the various members of the group start to settle in and Eric’s father announces that he is planning on selling the house, Eric decides to go out in style with one last unforgettable get-together and a nice orgy. The only obstacles that need to be overcome are convincing his reluctant friends to participate in the bacchanal and a new relationship he has begun with the real estate agent, who threatens to sell the house before the party can take place. “The idea for the screenplay derived from a story told us by a fellow about a party he attended which haphazardly ended in an orgy. We didn’t believe him because we figured people our age were too full of shame, fear, and guilt to actually make a successful orgy happen. However, the more we decided it was an improbable event, the more we thought it might make an interesting comedy because of all of the powerful emotions that a situation like an orgy could stir up.”

Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck met in college and bonded over their mutual admiration for David Lindley, Jackson Browne’s slide guitarist. They have been writing partners since they wrote for the satirical monthly magazine “Spy” from 1995. After that, they wrote for the The Late Show with David Letterman, The Larry Sanders Show, Frasier and King of the Hill. Currently, they are working on multiple projects with Judd Apatow. A Good Old Fashioned Orgy is their co-directorial debut.
