It is through song that people abandon the horizons of their childhood and enter active life and the reign of civilization, and it is always thanks to song that we return to our primitive state. This is how a true cinematographic poem is born; it develops by means of a few road signs found along the way, its theme is war and its research goal is the writing on the screen: images stolen from our daily life which are transformed into fragments of a journey that lasts over a decade. Traces filmed during a long peregrination along the roads of the world, accompanied by a Super8 movie camera, which become spaces in motion into which we settle to listen to voices, music or sounds marked by the rhythm and tempo of the wind. “El cuento is the final chapter of my experimental research; this film studies how technical research of the plastic relationship between images, sounds and text is immersed into the world of film. Narration is cancelled out and then reconstructed in the repetitive movements of each single frame.”
