An adolescent girl lives on a farm in the Midwest, surrounded by rundown, industrial suburbs. Uncomfortable with her problematic family and rejected by a guy her age with whom she wanted to make friends, the girls spends long afternoons on her own, walking through the forests around her house and stopping every now and then in front of the guy’s window in hopes he will show signs of interest. Finally, one day, a boy who is younger than her shows up at her farm and the two soon become inseparable, thus escaping from a depressing daily life. “I prefer not to make statements on small works like these. I feel short films should speak for themselves. Hopefully you feel a small tug at your heart or stomach or back of your head when you watch this little movie. If so, then I am happy. If not, then I am sorry.”
