29° TORINO FILM FESTIVAL
FESTA MOBILE: FIGURE NEL PAESAGGIO

IL GIORNO IN PIÙ

ONE DAY MORE
by Massimo Venier
Country: Italy
Year: 2011
Duration: 111'

Giuseppe is an inveterate single man who makes up an imaginary girlfriend to escape the pressure of who wants to see him married. Thanks to a series of fortuitous coincidences that girl suddenly appears with Michela’s face, a young woman who Giacomo meets on the bus every morning. This is how a playful relationship takes place between the two, who chase each other from one side to the other of the ocean. Apparently there is no serious involvement from either side until, on the last date, the must choose what to do with their lives.

“Once I was at Camilleri’s and I asked him: "How do you do it, your writing?", because I was curious to know his creative process. He told me he would simply write, from the first word to the last as if it were a letter, the important thing was to have a lot of confusion around him. On the contrary I sometimes start from the ending, then the beginning, then I jump to the middle. I’m from the computer generation so I move, cut, copy, paste. It’s more of a montage.” (Fabio Volo)
