A rural village in southern Sweden at dusk. Thirteen clips depict the atmosphere. Someone is walking home in the dark; suddenly there is a noise: it’s impossible to tell whether it is the next-doorneighbor’s dog or a wolf lying in wait along the way. “People never know why they do what they do. But they need explanations for themselves and for others. That’s why movies always have the plots seated promptly in the first row. But sometimes it happens that one have no words. It often feels as if a film is assessed according to the story it tells, good story – good movie, unusual story – unusual movie, and the experience of watching never gets passed that. Sent på Jorden is an attempt to tell a story cinematically. Instead of talking about or explaining a feeling to the audience we wanted the film to perform those feelings. No movies are not conversations, why should they be so limited?”
