The northern part of the province of Salta, in the district of Orán, Argentina. The village of Tinkunaku is home to the ancient native community of the Kollas, who live in a completely different dimension with respect to modern life. They are in complete synchrony with nature, as they follow its cycles and recurrences, and the daily life of the men and women is marked by work and rituals. Viviano and Ramona follow their seasonal journey from the valley to the village of Santa Cruz, located at 3,000 meters above sea level, where they spend the summer before the autumn rains begin.

Solar System is a film about disappearance. It is a portrait of daily life in the indigenous community of the Kollas in Tinkunaku. The film shows a meeting without knowing the language of the other, a story of getting to know and seeing each other without words. Non-verbally, exclusively through images the film approaches the people of the small indigenous Kolla community. Living with the Kollas, in between the old rites and the irruptive modernity, in the grandiose landscape of Yunga and Quechua, the film narrates their day-to-day disappearence.”
