ONDE: LUNGOMETRAGGI

XIAO SHI DA KAN

HONEY PUPU
by Hung-i Chen
Country: Taiwan
Year: 2011
Duration: 102'

Dog, Vicky’s boyfriend, suddenly disappears without leaving a trace. The girl’s love for him also disappears. But Vicky is convinced that her feelings for Dog can be resuscitated if she finds him. This is the start of her search, which she conducts with the help of a few chat friends; Cola, a fairly self-unaware high school student; Assassin, an alienated young man who lives on the edges of society; and Money, a strange adolescent who is waiting for Judgment Day. With them, Vicky also shares an obsession for the possible connection between electromagnetic pollution and the mysterious mass death of the bees.

“There is always a meaning behind the disappearance of something. […] Including love, love is not everlasting. But then, where did all these things that disappeared go to? No one knows, and no one cares. But, it is only through it that will lead us to find those beautiful things and memories we lost. Guiding us forward a beautiful world where all the treasures are kept.”
