BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE

BOB & CAROL & TED & ALICE
by Paul Mazursky
Country: USA
Year: 1969
Duration: 105'

After a weekend of group therapy, Bob (Robert Culp) and Carol (Natalie Wood) return home and try to convince their friends Ted (Elliott Gould) and Alice (Dyan Cannon) that they need to liberate themselves and candidly share their emotions with the others. As they talk, the sexual tension rises. Mazursky debuts with a comedy that explores the malaise of thirty-year-olds raised in Puritanism and entering the era of permissiveness. To be or not to be “modern?”
