The violent death of a municipal cop in Warsaw upsets the lives of six of his colleagues, who are united by a great professional team spirit and a strong friendship, cemented by drinking and hot-rod races. The primary suspect is Sergeant Krol, who owes the deceased a lot of money and who is also married to the man’s lover. Krol flees to avoid arrest and is forced to prove his innocence. His investigation opens up a Pandora’s box of corruption, illegal activities and embezzlement in the upper echelons of the police department and local politics.

Wojciech Smarzowski
Wojciech Smarzowski (Korczyna, Poland, 1963) studied photography at the Film School in Lodz, after which he worked in the world of music and television, directing video clips and TV series. He debuted in feature films as a director and screenwriter with the made-for-TV movie c (1998), which was followed by films such as Wesele (2004), which won the Youth Jury Prize at the Locarno International Film Festival, and The Dark House (2009), a thriller set in Poland’s communist past. He is now completing the production of the film Anioł (2013).
