ENOUGH SAID

ENOUGH SAID
by Nicole Holofcener
Country: USA
Year: 2013
Duration: 91'

Eva is a divorced woman who works as a masseuse and dreads her daughter’s impending departure for college. At a party one evening she meets Albert, a sweet and portly man her own age and who is also single. She also befriends Marianne, a poetess who becomes a regular client of hers. Her friendly relationship with Albert quickly blossoms into romance, as her friendship with Marianne grows deeper. The woman, in fact, starts venting her frustrations about her ex-husband describing all of his defects, which still seem to annoy her. Too bad the man is actually Albert… and Eva suddenly finds herself at a crossroads: believe her friend’s stories or continue a relationship that seemed perfect? Enough Said is the last movie James Gandolfini performed in before passing away this summer.

Declaration

film director

“The idea came from my life, having been married and divorced – the idea of jumping into another relationship is pretty scary once you know you’ve so blown it. And you thought you were making the right choice at one point in your life and how could you possibly have gotten it so wrong? Am I going to be so wrong again?”
