The Accademia Teatro alla Scala, excellence amongst the most prestigious worldwide, is the only theatre academy in the world that trains every professional figure involved in art theatre. It is a choral story that encompasses an entire year: a full immersion in the intimacy of personal events, in the spectacularity of the performances, in the rigor of the daily training. Walking the path that leads to the Scala temple is a privilege that demands everything in return.

Declaration

film director

“Shooting a film about the Accademia immediately meant revealing the lesser known heart of Milan. It was a work of patient observation of events as they unfolded spontaneously; the camera became a discreet eye that followed students, without forcing anything, in their daily routine of classes and performances, carefully seizing the poetry of the moments of truth that develop out of hard work, talent, and determination, in search for perfection off stage. The stories of dancers, singers, costume and set designers intertwine through the seasons to restore the nuances and the concreteness of their passions.”
