Two childhood friends decide to make a documentary about how the culture of global conspiracies has drastically risen in recent years. The project seems fairly straight forward, and in fact this is the case, at least until the lead character in the movie disappears into thin air. But before disappearing, the man left some research which puts the two filmmakers on the tracks of a mysterious and ancient society. The more they learn about the secrets of this archaic organization, the more the two friends realize that they are dealing with a power system they might not be able to escape.

Christopher MacBride
Christopher MacBride, screenwriter and director, after receiving an award from the IFA (Independent Filmmakers Alliance) for the screenplay of the short Movie Talkers: Scum of Humanity, continued to write for the TV series Inside the Box. Besides writing screenplays, he also directs movies and has made four shorts: Secrets, Chaos, Smoke Break and Sleep Lab, the latter of which was presented at various international film festivals.

“There were many visual references for this film. Catfish, The Cove, Exit through the Gift Shop are all examples of mock-doc style films that I envisioned for The Conspiracy. DOP Ian Anderson was the perfect match for this film as he is someone who’s past work I had admired. What he has been able to accomplish in the micro-budget world was a style of work that I wanted to embrace for The Conspiracy.”
