Vietnam veteran Kowalski delivers cars across America for a living. One day, he bets that he can drive a Dodge Challenger from Colorado to San Francisco in less than fifteen hours. The highway police stop him for speeding, he makes a run for it and the hunt is on. The blind DJ Super Soul guides him by radio. After crossing three state borders, Kowalski becomes a hero of farmers and dropouts. Non-stop music in the third film by Sarafian. Randy Newman becomes a cult actor.
