A captain who is a Vietnam veteran settles down in a small town in Kansas and begins to restore an old abandoned merry-go-round. A few locals help him, others get in his way. A wild girl watches him from afar. Based on a story a friend had told him, the first movie directed by David Carradine, who produced the movie with the money he made from the Kung Fu series, uses relatives and friends and stars him and his companion Barbara Hershey. An allegorical ballad of emptiness and melancholy.
