Zach lives with his dog in a big house in the middle of the pristine wilderness of Oregon’s forests. He is a somewhat of a loner who enjoys taking long hikes in the woods. During one of his walks, Zach runs into an old friend of his, Ellyn, who joins him. As the days go by, Zach and Ellyn become increasingly convinced something weird is hiding in the forest, an unusual and disconcerting presence that manifests itself through light and sound phenomena that would be otherwise hard to explain. The invasion of two suspicious neighbors complicates the matter further. Is there really something weird going on or is it just their imagination?

Ian Clark
Ian Clark (USA) studied digital art at the University of Oregon. He was listed by “Filmmaker Magazine” as one of the year’s 25 New Faces for his work as a videomaker, an artist, and a programmer for several festivals. He was one of the founders of the Eastern Oregon Film Festival, which kicked off in 2009, and he is in charge of its programming as well as for the Treefort Film Fest. He is also one of the guests of the art space Ditch Projects. So far, he made the short features Pool Room (2009), Country Story (2011), MMXIII (2013), and the short film Searching for Yellow (2012). A Morning Light is his debut in full-length feature, starring the filmmaker Zach Weintraub (who participated to the 2012 Torino Film Festival with his film The International Sign for Choking).
