AQUI, EM LISBOA - EPISODIOS DE UMA CIUDADE

HERE IN LISBON - EPISODES OF A CITY
by Denis Côté, Dominga Sotomayor, Gabriel Abrantes, Marie Losier
Year: 2015
Duration: 88'

Welcome to Lisbon, where it’s normal to see mermaids along the banks of the Tagus River and admire flocks of birds gliding above the roofs of the old town. A unique and charming place, where you can hear fish singing for the joy of a few oddball scientists and where tourists and their tour guides lose their way in a maze of streets and palazzos, captivated by the sound of sad guitars playing fados. This is Lisbon, seen through the eyes of four directors: Dominga Sotomayor, Denis Côté, Gabriel Abrantes and Marie Losier, whose short films depict the sarcastic, welcoming, surreal and poetic – in a word, “different” – spirit of a city which never ceases to amaze its visitors. A collage of images and impressions, created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of IndieLisboa, Lisbon’s International Independent Film Festival.
