Declaration

film director

“From the Super8 footage that Tonino shot in the 1960s of his friends, his wife Mariella, his two daughters Giulietta and Veronica, to Alberto’s movies with Giulietta and their three children: we find ourselves before the same act of love. Between the lines of that act of love we see the myths and fairytales they tell each other, and the paths of a family so out of the ordinary. The act of filming, seen as a necessary and joyous ritual, as a way to open onto the world and share the life that turns into cinema; and in that same happiness, some grow, while others make movies.”
