A young man wanders around naked on an enchanted deserted island in the Aegean Sea. His solitary exploration of the pristine nature, inundated by the blinding light of the summer sun, continues until he suddenly comes upon a group of tourists swimming in the sea. The sight of a girl seems to awaken him from his desire for solitude.

Théo Deliyannis

Théo Deliyannis is a French filmmaker of Greek origin. Since 2014 he has been a partner of Athens’ LabA laboratory, an independent space dedicated to developing and producing films. At the moment he lives in Paris, where he works for the distribution company Collectif Jeune Cinéma and for the Different and Experimental Cinema festival.

“This film is the conclusion of a learning process that took part in LabA (Athens, Greece), a place dedicated to hand-processing film, co-created by Vassily Bourikas and Yannis Yaxas in 2006. It was shot with a very small budget and a crew of two people.”
