An empty, seemingly abandoned museum. A woman’s voice narrating events connected to another abandonment, committed by a person with whom she shared time and spaces. The narration, halfway between an exchange of letters and a means of self-reflection, moves in parallel with the visual journey generating a double track between the set and the story.

Declaration
film director
“We filmed the sequence shot for this movie in 2011 in the Gallerie dell’Accademia in Venice. The museum was being restored at the time, and Carlo Scarpa’s installations from the 1950s and 1960s had to be adapted to various needs. The museographic principle followed by Scarpa changed as the number of visitors increased; new necessities emerged over time, independent from the context. The footage remained in a drawer until now. Four years later, it seemed the right time to juxtapose the story of a possible abandonment experienced by a woman and the space of a museum.”
