In 2006, the apparent tranquility of the rural town of Ipswich is shattered when the bodies of five women are found. Declaration

film director

“There are many reasons I felt compelled to make this film – the form, the incredible human insight (both through the verbatim construction of Alecky Blythe and the extraordinary music of Adam Cork), the powerful small-town political, the humour, the spirit – but these can also be claimed of the original (stage) version. By taking the piece into an entirely new medium, the possibilities and potential of the piece are wonderfully enhanced.”
