“Five years ago I came down with leukemia. Today, the cancer is in remission, I have a family and a ‘normal’ life but I’m still scared. So I decided to return to the hospital ward in search of that part of me I felt I had lost. I met Sabrina there; she was battling against the same illness I had and together we decided to follow her battle, our battle, in search of that moment when you stop being a patient and become a human being once again…”

Lucio Viglierchio

Lucio Viglierchio (Turin, Italy, 1980) does editing, post-production and video shooting. He has edited various documentaries for the association MenteLocale (including Le troixieme charge, which won at the 2009 Piemonte Movie), installations for art exhibits (Peggy Guggenheim Collection, MACRO, Fondazione Roma) and commercial and institutional advertisements. He has curated the directing and editing of the miniseries Oskar’s Friends, produced by the association RTAmovie, and the short Kleidokratoras - The Lord of the Keys, which he directed with Mauro De Fazio and presented at the 2013 Torino Film Festival in the Spazio Torino section. Luce Mia is his first feature film.
