Freddy and Mo are a gay couple from Brooklyn; they are trying to have a baby with the help of their best friend Polly. The dreams of the would-be bohemian parents are disturbed by an unwanted neighbor, a vagabond who calls himself the Bishop and behaves like a real outsider in a neighborhood that has become rich and fashionable. How far are Freddy and Mo willing to go to safeguard their happiness?

Sebastián Silva
Sebastián Silva (Santiago, Chile, 1979), after studying film in Chile, moved to Canada to specialize in animation. After a few exhibitions he moved to Hollywood for a short, fruitless period, during which he also played in a few rock bands. In 2007, he debuted in feature length films with La vida me mata, produced – like the rest of his filmography – by the company Fabula, owned by the brothers Juan de Dios and Pablo Larraín. It was followed by other movies, including The Maid (2009), Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and in competition at the Torino Film Festival; and the diptych Crystal Fairy & the Magical Cactus (2013) and Magic Magic (2013), both starring Michael Cera. With the first film he won the Directing Award at Sundance, while the second, which also stars Juno Temple, participated at the Quinzaine des réalisateurs at Cannes.

This planted the seed for a dramatic, moral story: three friends sharing a common goal – a baby – and a common enemy, the Bishop.
