Nine women. The house is ancient, it has been in the family for generations. Between the walls, the stories of those women and the ones that came before them, during what is likely to be the last summer they will all be there together. The generational change seems like another character in the film, always present, always reminding us that the bonds of that intimacy have nothing to do with the outside world.

“I recently read a quote that stuck with me. ‘We find the documentary approach interesting because it restores our relationship with the world, with history, and with the present.’ Thinking about my connection to the world means, among other things, looking inside myself and inevitably looking at my nucleus and my family history. I observed the bonds between the nine women in my family who belong to different generations: we share a very strong bond of confidence and intimacy, it’s something that ties us together and that many people might find unusual. It’s a connection no one else has access to.”
